888.com online casino is one of the most well known brands and they are into sport as well, they are the sponsors of the Middlesbrough and Sevilla Football Clubs and 888 also sponsor the World Snooker Championship.

888 online casino and poker room offers a huge variety of casino games such as blackjack (and their version of the game - crazy blackjack), online roulette, slots and more.

In 2006 they added online bingo by acquiring the Globalcom brand, and this year, finally, they will launch the sports betting section as a new feature allowing players to get all of their poker, casino and sports betting needs from one site.

The sports betting new section should be a very popular one with fans from all over the world and will offer sport fans the chance to bet on the most popular sporting events.

Nokia connects with BFF
Tuesday, 04 March 2008
Staff Correspondent

Nokia, the world’s leading cell-phone manufacturer, announced its involvement with Bangladesh national football team at a press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation office on Monday.

Nokia will be sponsoring the football kits for the AFC Challenge Cup and involve the national football team members in its different promotional activities.

The company will provide a purse of Tk 15 lakh to the Bangladesh Football Federation. Bangladesh have only two international engagements in 2008 – the AFC Challenge Cup, to be held from May 5-10 in Kyrgyzstan, and the SAFF Championship in June in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Though Nokia confirmed the sponsorship of the AFC Challenge, it would make the decision on SAFF Championship later. In international football tournaments carrying the sponsor’s logo or name on the shirts is prohibited, so the Bangladesh national team members will use the Nokia logo or name in their practice jerseys and promote the company’s products in other possible ways.

Prem Prakash Chand, the managing director of Nokia Emerging Asia, was happy to be associated with Bangladesh football.

‘Football is the most popular game of the world and Nokia is also the same in mobile technology, Nokia is proud to be involved with the Bangladesh national football team and we look forward to continuing the involvement,’ said Prem Prakash. Nokia sponsored the African Nations Cup in Tunisia in 2004.

Presently, the company is sponsoring the youth football programme of the United States and the popular TV show titled ‘Nokia Football Crazy’ transmitted by ESPN.

BFF president SA Sultan welcomed the initiative of Nokia. ‘Nokia is great name in world football arena and we are extremely delighted to see its emergence in Bangladesh football. In our country football needs some extra boost and we hope Nokia will provide that to develop the game and take it to the desired level,’ said Sultan.

BFF acting general secretary Monjur Hossain Malu, communications manager Ahmed Saeed Al Fatah were also present on the occasion.

Beckham 'likely to win 100th cap'

Beckham trained with Arsenal in the winter to boost his fitness
England coach Fabio Capello says David Beckham is in contention to earn his 100th cap in the friendly against France in Paris on 26 March.
He was left out of Capello's first game against Switzerland in February because of a lack of fitness as the season in the United States has not started yet.

Midfielder Beckham, 32, has 99 caps and Capello will have the former captain watched playing for Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Italian said: "There is a strong possibility that he will be selected."

The Major League Soccer season begins on 29 March but LA Galaxy play FC Dallas in a pre-season charity game on 15 March and Capello added that he or a member of his coaching team will be at that match to see Beckham play.

If you play with fear, it is impossible to win

England coach Fabio Capello

Capello was speaking at a specially arranged gathering of representatives of the supporters club, Englandfans, where he spoke in English in public for the first time.

The former Real Madrid coach also said he had yet to make up his mind on who should be the England captain on a permanent basis.

"It is very important to choose someone for the World Cup qualifiers, which start in September," he admitted.

"But I have to know the man, not only the player. It must be not only a big player but a symbol - a good player, a good man, who represents the England team in every situation."

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard was given the role against Switzerland, with previous incumbent John Terry then injured.

606: DEBATE
Do you think Beckham should play for England?

Capello, who saw his side beat the Swiss 2-1 in his first game at Wembley, conceded he needs to bolster the confidence of his players after their failure to qualify for Euro 2008.

"We must regain a winning mentality, there are some players who are short on confidence when playing for the national team," he stated.

"The winning mentality is very, very important - if you play with fear it is impossible to win."

Capello's first competitive game in charge of England is the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Andorra on 6 September.

Beckham set up a goal but the left the field early with a minor injury as the Galaxy, who are on an Asian tour, eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Shanghai-Hong Kong United in Shanghai this week.

Carlos Ruiz scored all three goals but Beckham was substituted in the 70th minute as a precaution after he took a knock to his right thigh, although the injury is not thought to be serious,

Eduardo uncertain of return date

Eduardo receives treatment after the tackle by Birmingham's Taylor
Arsenal and Croatia striker Eduardo says he does not know how long it will be before he returns to action.
The 25-year-old suffered a fractured left fibula and an open dislocation of his left ankle after a tackle by Birmingham's Martin Taylor in February.

"I am walking on crutches but I am feeling well, there is no pain," he told Croatian paper Jutarnji List.

"Some say the recovery will take half a year, some say I'll be playing in nine months, others say 15 months."

Post your goodwill messages

Eduardo also revealed he is set to miss Croatia's World Cup qualifier against England at Wembley on 10 September.

"That would be too soon. Yes, I will play against England but in the return game in September 2009," he added.

Eduardo will have his leg in plaster for the next six to eight weeks before beginning a rehabilitation programme.

Arsenal have said they believe he will be able to start running again in six months, although they expect him to be on the sidelines for nine months.

what team do you support abdul wahdud

Anonymous said...

abdul wahad have you thought of creating a forum, it would be great if there actually was a place where we could discuss just about Bengali football

Abdul Wadud said...

Guys, please use your names when posting, it makes it easier to reply back.

To anon who asked about what team I support: My main team is Manchester United, I've supported them my whole life. I don't support any particular Bangladeshi team, I just support Bangladesh football as a whole.

And to the poster above, yes, I have thought about adding a forum. However, I have added one in the past but it wasn't very popular so I took it off. I may bring one back, if enough people want it.

Btw, it's Abdul Wadud, not Wahad, or Wahdud :)

salaam abdul wadud the world rankings need to change they are the folowing:
fifa-173
afc-35
i get these rankings from fifa.com i go there everytime as all the bangladeshi football fans might be thinking why is bangladesh in 173 in the world its not because they are bad in playing football, fifa's world rankings are not right they just put teams that are good e.g. england ,italy, brazil etc in the top ten .fif's system in the world rankings are not setup properly so dont be upset that bangladesh are 173

romeo said...

Saalam to all of you.. abdul bhai ur website is amazing! thanks!

well.. I just have something to ask.. If we're out of country, as i am in Canada.. Do you guys think that we could trial with any bangladeshi team ? Well i'm only 16
and I'm one of the only bengali which is in a high level in Canadian soccer's(foot-ball) leagues. I'm pretty sure that we got to have contact with someone in BFF right? But when I see bangla league in TV they're not that good.. There are a lot of bengalis in UK, Canada, Usa, who are better than them..

rahul said...

Abdul Wadud said...

Romeo, I'm pretty sure you can. Contact the BFF and see what they say. Good luck.
