Victoria Sporting Club returned to winning ways in the Senior Division Football League when they edged Arambagh Krira Sangha 1-0 at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur yesterday.
Victoria, who suffered their lone defeat in the 13-team fray in the last round, took three points through a 52nd minute strike by Jahir.
After 11 matches, Victoria retained top spot with 24 points but second-placed Jatrabari, on 18 points, have the advantage of playing just eight games so far.
Youngmen's Club are also on 18 points but have played ten matches.
In the day's other match, Badda shared points in a goalless draw with Sunrise. With 16 and 15 points respectively, both teams have brightened their chances to play in the Super Six after the first leg but Arambagh have jeopardised their chances as they stuck to 12 points at seventh place.
Today's matches: Dipali v City Club (1.30pm) and Wari v Agrani Bank 3.30pm (Kamalapur).
